Sacred Art and Archaeology Museum
The Sacred Art and Archaeology Museum is located in a seventeenth-century wing of the former São Lourenço College and has physical connection to the homonymous church - or “Grilos”, as it is also known. The visit is worth for the remarkable, rich and varied collection of this museum that is open to the community and focused on conservation and communication of its collection. In the Room Irene Vilar, you can see pieces of this artist and in the permanent exhibition can be found pieces from the thirteenth to the twenty-first century, with emphasis on the religious sculpture.
