How to Move in the City

Porto has an intermodal network of public transport that works well and therefore is the best way to move around the city. Whether by bus, metro or train, you can always use the same ticket, the Andante [Traveller]. Users pay according to their chosen route and not according to the used transport mode or even the number of times one uses these. It is modern, practical and economic.

Taxis - from the airport to the city centre the journey will cost around € 30 and short downtown/city centre trips will cost around € 5; car rental is also another alternative.

In downtown Porto and its historic centre, despite the inclination of the streets, the routes between the main points of interest can be done on foot.
