The urban train service - Passenger Trains has at its disposal four railway lines within a radius of 60 km around the city: the urban train from Porto can travel quickly, it is affordable and a comfortable way to Aveiro, Braga, Caíde / Marco de Canaveses and Guimarães.
The railway stations of Campanhã and S. Bento - the latter in the heart of downtown Porto - interface with the Porto Metro and bus terminals.
With the Andante Tour ticket one can ride on CP trains between Espinho and Valongo and make an unlimited number of trips during the ticket validity period.
To travel further away from the city, simply take a Regional, InterRegional, Intercity, Alfa Pendular or International train - the latter connects the bridge to other European destinations.
In the summer and until the beginning of autumn, CP operates the Historic Train in the Douro DOC Region. Pulled by a diesel locomotive dated 1967, five historic timber carriages dating from the early twentieth century make passengers travel in time, a distance between the ruler and the Régua Station with a stop at the beautiful village of Pinhão. It is on Saturdays.
