Virtudes Park

The Municipal Virtudes Park is located in the property of the former Porto Gardens Company. It was designed by José Marques Loureiro (1830-1898), and is located in the center of Porto, a few meters from the Clérigos Tower. It is a vertical garden with terraces sloping downhill. It was bought in 1965 by the City Council of Porto and underwent restoration in 1998. It offers a unique panoramic view over the Alfândega do Porto (Customs Building), the Douro River and the town of Vila Nova de Gaia.
