Pasteleira Urban Park
The Pasteleira Urban Park is a public park and was born of the reconversion of the former Mata of Pasteleira. The revamping was completed in 2003 and endowed this area of the city, which also includes Serralves, with a pleasant area for recreation, leisure, and sports. The park has a total area of 7 hectares. It is bisected by a road, but both sections are connected by three overpasses. The wild pine trees and cork trees are among the last large surfaces of natural vegetation in the Porto area. This whole natural heritage is preserved in the park's landscape design by the architect Marisa Lavrador. It also has an Environmental Education Center and a bike path close to 2km long that was created in 2009 and connects to the City Park.
